India meet South Africa at the ODIs from today
The first ODI between India and South Africa in Dharamsala. It’s only obvious that the COVID-19 scare has hogged all the headlines and content in the lead-up to this three-match series. Precaution mandates have been issued and the stadium has made provisions for medical facilities, so let’s shift our focus to cricket instead.
India are coming off an ODI and Test series loss from New Zealand, while South Africa are coming off the high after having beaten Australia 3-0 at home. While South Africa will look at continuing their winning run, albeit in very different conditions, they are up against a wounded India, who will be confident about playing at home, especially with the return of their stars – Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan.
